The Willis Family

I love this field! These guys are awesome and were taking me to their favorite family fishing spot and we drove past this field. :) So I definitely owe them for helping me find this!
There were so fun to photograph. My was prepared to help the kids stay warm and it was super cold and her kids were so good!

These kids are darling!

Her eyes are SO stunning. I am using her next time I need a model for sure! I can't get over how beautiful her eyes are!

I love little miss surrounded by all these boys and is still so girly. Love it!

Christmas is Coming!

I am excited for Christmas cards this year. Check it off you your To Do List early this year. See card details here. This is my cousin that I grew up playing dolls with... isn't her family darling?!

Perfect Fall Weather.

We headed up the canyon and it was GORGEOUS! The leaves were amazing. The temperatures were perfect. This family was so fun to work with.

These boys are so cute they were loving running around up in the mountains... so many things to climb and throw. By far the most passionate leave throwing pic!

I love the personalities of these boys... seriously adorable.

A beautiful family.

The W Family

Such an easy family to work with. They are all so easy going and sweet.

Such cute boys!

So happy to finally get a preview up! Sorry about the week long wait. Now give me one more week and I will have a disk of photos to you. :)

Another Contest Entry

The challenge this week for Katie Evan's Photoberfest  is a picture of how you see your kids. Well this week I needed to checkout the leaves up the canyon for a client and I had just finished K's Halloween costume so we had a fun date up the canyon. I was planning on taking other pics of my kids for the contest, but things are busy and then it hit me... cheesy as it sounds .... this IS how I see my daughter.
She is brave, beautiful, and a warrior. She is my oldest and has amazed me with how her bravery  There are other pictures that encompass her sweet silly side but this picture illustrates her inner bravery to choose right, to learn, and to be a beautiful person inside and out.

So this is my entry. ... This is how I see my 5 year old, my brave warrior princess. :)

Thank You.

So fun to photograph these cute boys and their beautiful (and my I add strong and amazing) mommy. Their Dad is serving in Afghanistan and she is holding this sweet little family together while he is away serving all of us.

I am told that this little guy is a blonde version of his daddy.

I love when kids plop down in a way that is comfy for them and I would never imagine asking someone to try and sit like that. haha... he sat like that, I love it.

We were trying to get baby brother to smile....

Big brother reached down to help him smile, so cute. I loved watching the boys interact with each other.

I LOVE mom's with their babies. So sweet. And Mom you have an AMAZING profile. ... gorgeous. Most people do not look that beautiful from a side view.

Can you tell he loves his mama! Such a sweet moment.

EVERYTHING went into this boys mouth. So cute!

And as always I am not done until everyone is crying. :) They did so good!

The Grimley's

I have eyed this location for over a year! It is on the way up to the Grimley cabin in Heber. It is beautiful all year round, especially in the fall. So we met up at the cabin for conference and family pics, with my husband's brother's family.

Fall pictures with the white Aspen trunks....(sigh)... love.

Don't I have such cute nephews?!

And of course I always fit in a squishy hug picture.

So I have been following along with Katie Evans Photoberfest. This weeks "challenge" was to get a self taken family picture. Go "like" my photo on Pinterest to help me win the contest.

I LOVE taking photos, which means my kids get their pictures taken all the time. So much that they (especially my oldest) are getting worn out on have photo shoots. The worst part of pictures is getting everyone in the right mood. So I prepped as much as possible the night before and set up my camera on a tripod before I even had any of them come out of the cabin. I used my remote (you can see it in my right hand if you look close). If I was taking the picture I would have had my oldest scout to the left a few inches... but I can't complain. The best tripod picture that I have ever got. Mood and attitude are everything!!
If you come to a photo shoot and you have nagged your kids the whole way there.... well it shows in the pictures. Stay calm... be patient... don't push. If you feel yourself getting frustrated with your kids step away and let me handle it myself. Kids are much more cooperative for strangers. :)

A few more from the weekend... it was GORGEOUS up at our cabin in Heber.

My little bug dancing on a log... love her!

And if you ever wondered what photographers meant by Golden Hour..... mmmmmm.... this is right at that perfect lighting moment.
